for Raum’s 2024 SOUK LAMEIAE was asked to create a poster design for the event.
Souk is arabic for market and as a majority of the audience comes from the MENA region a lot of them associate the markets in their homelands with the warm feeling and nostalgic experience.
Therefore we decided to create a visual that upon looking at it could make you feel exactly that. From the warm colours to the scents and sounds you hear at a souk. We took inspiration from old arabic graphics you can find on packaging and posters and combined it with the more modern feel Raum has.
